Branding Guidelines
As part of Poultney’s Recreation Economy for Rural Communities (RERC) planning process, a new town brand and logo were developed through a volunteer-led effort in collaboration with the Castleton Content Lab at Castleton University. The initiative aimed to support economic development by positioning Poultney as a destination for year-round outdoor recreation.
The branding process included community workshops, stakeholder input, and design development. The final brand — The Heart of the Slate Valley — was officially adopted by the Poultney Select Board in May 2022 and is now being implemented across signage, digital platforms, and promotional materials.
